This project is one of a series of new GIS products designed to exploit the power and ease of use of ArcGIS as a tool for the explorationist. The product consists of a wide variety of exploration and production related maps linked to well/field databases, well-logs and seismic section links managed from within ESRI's ArcGIS application suite.
An 800-page report detailing the "Hydrocarbon Potential of Egypt" including text, tables and figures is also provided as a digital PDF.
An important feature of this study is that it brings together the complementary skills of Fairway Exploration - interpretation of geological, geochemical, seismic and potential field data for petroleum exploration, and Lynx Information Systems - petrophysical and seismic data acquisition, processing and GIS development, both of whom have extensive experience of exploration throughout Egypt and analogous areas.
