Iraq - Lynx GIS Adviser

This report has been developed using ESRI ArcGIS software, and provides a wide range of exploration data with a cultural, topographic and concessionary framework.

1/10 - The Iraq GIS Adviser provides
a set of pre-compiled ArcMap MXDs and categorised layer files, allowing you
to browse the data straightaway, or build your own customised maps for
presentation and interrogation of the data underlying the maps.

2/10 - Iraq Well Database - well header
information for almost 1000 well locations. Formation tops, composite logs
and water chemistry are linked to well headers.

3/10 - Iraq Fields Database - polygon
outlines are provided for over 100 named hydrocarbon pools, with field structure maps
for a number of established fields, and locations of undrilled structures. Linked
information includes Annual Production, Reserves and Reservoir Geology.

4/10 - Digital surface geology layer,
as polygons, attributed both chrono-stratigraphically and litho-stratigraphically

5/10 - Magnetics and Gravity. A regional
depth-to-basement map is derived from aeromagnetics. A regional Bouguer Gravity layer
includes closures (highs and lows) as polygons

6/10 - Regional Facies and Isopach Maps.
A series of facies and isopach thickness maps have been pre-built for key groups and
formations regionally. Spatial layer files allow you to drag and drop these maps
from ArcCatalog into ArcMap

7/10 - Pressure and Salinity. Potentiometric
surface map layers of Tertiary, Upper Cretaceous and Mid/Lower Cretaceous formations.
Isosalinity map layers of Tertiary, Upper Cretaceous, Lower Cretaceous and Jurassic/Triassic
formations

8/10 - Cross Sections. Litho-stratigraphic
and structural reconstructions. Can be viewed interactively using the Lynx Seismap cross-section
viewer

9/10 - Seismic SEG-Y and Horizon Maps. SEG-Y
data available for Baquba, Mosul and Basra areas. Regional seismic horizon maps for key
horizons

10/10 - Play Summary Maps. A set of play
interpretation maps showing the regional distribution of source/reservoir/seal facies for
9 discreet sedimentary intervals, plus a combined Play Summary map.

In addition to the GIS layers, seismic and well data illustrated above, the Iraq GIS Adviser also includes three illustrated PDF reports, providing further insight and context for the petroleum geology of Iraq.
